Course Content:

As
social housing providers, many of our customers are vulnerable with support
needs and housing professionals need the skills and behaviours to be able to
respond appropriately. But in a fast-paced environment, with often stretched
resources, staff can sometimes face the blurred line of where their remit
should start and end. In this session, we will consider the importance of
recognising and maintaining professional boundaries

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand why maintaining professional boundaries is important for us and the customer
• Explore our own boundaries – where do we draw the line?
•  Know the impact of stress on our capacity to maintain boundaries
• Discuss social media and the blurred lines of home and work
• Explore banter in the workplace – when it’s acceptable and when it’s not
• How our unconscious biases effect our behavior
